SAT and Illinois Science Assessment Testing
April 13 and 14, 2021

Dear Junior Students/Parents/Guardians:

On Tuesday April 13th, Crete-Monee High School will host SAT testing for all students classified as juniors. This test is a school-day exam that is required for graduation. Bus information will be provided by the Transportation Department prior to test day, but students who are providing their own transportation to school are expected to arrive by 7:15 A.M. for mandatory check-in procedures at the Administration entrance, as the exam will begin promptly at 8:00 A.M. Due to SAT mandates, students arriving late for the exam will not be permitted to enter testing, so please make plans to have your student arrive on time.

Prior to the exam, students that are taking the bus can find their pick up time in skyward under bus information.  Bus riders will be directed by staff to their entrance location, following social distancing guidelines.  Any student that drives or is dropped off will enter the building at the administration entrance.

Prior to arrival to school on the morning of testing, students must complete a wellness screening on their skyward student access home page.  Upon arrival students must show the check in staff proof of completion on their phone, proof is a green check.  Students will be given a temperature check and will be required to wear a mask for the duration of their time in the school building.  If your student is not feeling well and is sick, please call in their absence, and do not send them to school. Students must show a form of photo ID (driver’s license, school ID, etc.) to be admitted into their testing room.

Please review the SAT school day student guide at- https://digitaltesting.collegeboard.org/pdf/sat-student-guide-digital-testing.pdf We also encourage all students to utilize Khan Academy as a test preparation resource. Students may access Khan Academy at www.khanacademy.org.

Additionally, breakfast will be provided on test day and students will receive individual bags upon entry into the building. Students are expected to provide their own calculators and No. 2 pencils for this exam.  We look forward to seeing you on the 13th!

On April 14, juniors will take the Illinois Science Assessment. The Illinois Science Assessment is meant to evaluate a student's performance on the Next Generation Science Standards. This is the first year the assessment is being given electronically. Students will be required to bring their fully-charged Chromebooks in order to complete the exam.
