Crete-Monee High School is a comprehensive four-year high school with students from the villages of Crete, Monee, University Park, and Park Forest. Our mission is to educate students to be critical thinkers and active learners, to challenge students to fulfill their potential, and to prepare students to contribute positively to society. We do this by providing our communities with exceptional opportunities, innovative teaching, and we invite you to join us for exceptional learning. Crete-Monee High School offerings in AP coursework has grown from 10 to 20 in one (1) year. Students can enroll in four (4) dual credit courses, take up to 18 college credits at Prairie State College and the opportunity to enroll in over 12 career and technical preparation courses at Kankakee Area Career Center. This award-winning 320,000 sq. ft. facility features a state-of-the-art 600-seat Performing Arts Center, Field House, and classrooms filled with the most up-to-date components in educational technology. Crete-Monee High School boasts an award-winning choral music program and a regionally recognized drama program.
We also continue to increase our student participation in our 20 athletic programs with varying levels of participation including our 2012 state championship winning football team. In addition to our competitive athletic programs, we also offer students the opportunity to participate in over 26 competitive and noncompetitive clubs, activities, and fine arts programs.
Our student body represents a wide range of social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. This diversity has helped to create a well-blended school environment that is strengthened by a rigorous curriculum and a variety of learning opportunities to help students better prepare for success after high school.
