Throughout the school year, the Truancy Department, alongside the CMHS Student Attendance Committee (SAC), led the Attendance Matters campaign—an initiative focused on promoting strong attendance across the Crete-Monee School District.

The campaign included a variety of engaging efforts, such as the Attendance Matters Tour with school visits, a district podcast episode, community partnerships, student mentorship opportunities, and a deeper look at risk factors that can impact student attendance.

In addition, the Student Attendance Committee created weekly video messages encouraging students and families to stay engaged and present in school. Each episode highlighted a different topic, reinforcing the importance of consistent attendance.

Right before spring break, the committee hosted a Warrior Nation Pep Rally at the high school to energize students and create a fun, spirited atmosphere. The event also featured the highly anticipated Staff vs. Students basketball game—where staff claimed victory once again in the second annual matchup, remaining undefeated in this exciting rivalry.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to ensure every student shows up, stays engaged, and succeeds. Take a peek at our attendance matters report:
