Donzell Franklin, one of our dedicated community mentors, has launched the CM 201-U Emerging Leaders Civic Engagement Program to mentor and prepare the district's future leaders. This program aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to become leaders at the local, state, and national levels. Students nominated by school administrators or staff for their exceptional leadership, character, and academic achievements will participate in workshops and training sessions designed to develop their decision-making abilities in education and government.
The program also provides opportunities for participants to interact with local government officials, Board of Education members, and other key community members. The selection process began in early November, and the final participants were chosen in December. The program officially launched in January.
