Crete-Monee High School’s NJROTC proudly hosted its third annual Military Ball on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Serbian Social Center in Lansing, Illinois. This formal event recognized cadets' commitment, leadership, and service while providing a structured, memorable evening in a safe, respectful environment.

The Military Ball brought together cadets from Crete-Monee, Bloom Township, and Bloom Trail high schools, fostering camaraderie and connection among participating schools. Prior to the event, all cadets attended an etiquette class to prepare for the evening’s formal dining experience.

The night featured opportunities for cadets to win raffle prizes, including a 53-inch television, which was awarded to each participating school. In addition to the formal program, cadets enjoyed socializing and dancing, creating lasting memories while building relationships with peers from other NJROTC programs.

Cadets also experienced several military traditions, including the Navy cake-cutting ceremony, the POW/MIA table presentation, and the proper introduction of senior personnel, along with sword arch protocols and more.

Overall, the Military Ball was an unforgettable evening that highlighted the cadets' excellence, discipline, and unity. After dinner, cadets had the opportunity to dance the night away.
